The visits are voluntary. Any dogs that are healthy, friendly and eager to interact with people are welcome to apply to the Taiwan Dr. Dog program. To be certified, the dog and the owner must go through a vigorous training process and pass the Dr. Dog Screening test. Since in each visit the owner and the dog must work together as a team, their mutual trust and reliance is essential. In addition, the dog owner's devotion to voluntary work and time commitment is also a must. The association offers all obedience training classes and workshops you may need in preparation for the volunteer work.
